Matthew Kren, DVM

Hi! We’re the four-legged crew lucky enough to call Dr. Kren ours. (Trust us, we know him best.)

One thing about our dad? He loves that no two days in veterinary medicine are ever the same. Between dogs, cats, and the humans who adore them, he’s constantly learning, laughing, and finding new ways to help. He’s especially passionate about preventive care, dentistry, and behavior, which basically means he’s very invested in keeping everyone healthy (yes… even our teeth). His veterinary journey started at St. George’s University and led him to graduate from Oklahoma State University (Go pokes!) While there, he was selected for the Air Force Health Professional Scholarship and had the honor of serving as a Public Health Officer in the Air Force after vet school. We think that’s pretty impressive. After his time in the military, he returned to his original dream of caring for dogs and cats full time. Our family happily traded snow for sunshine and now calls the Tampa area home.

When he’s not at the hospital, you’ll find him gardening, building things, running, or spending time with his incredible wife and two kids. And of course… with us, his slightly mischievous rescue pups and one very sweet (and clearly superior) cat.
We’re happy to share him with Land O’ Lakes Animal Hospital, but just know he’s ours first. Sincerely, the best furry pets!
