Matthew Kren, DVM

Dr. Kren loves that, as a veterinarian, he has never had the same day twice. Dogs, cats, and pet owners keep him learning and laughing. He is passionate about preventive care, dentistry, and behavior.

His veterinary journey started at St. George’s University, but he ultimately graduated from Oklahoma State University. At OSU, Dr. Kren was selected for the Air Force Health Professional Scholarship, giving him the honor of serving as a Public Health Officer for the Air Force after vet school.

Dr. Kren’s time in the military was fulfilling, but he wanted to get back to his original dream of taking care of dogs and cats. He and his family wanted to be back on the East Coast and never see snow again, so they have called the Tampa area home since 2015.

In his spare time, Dr. Kren enjoys gardening, carpentry, running, and spending time with his incredible wife and two kids. They have two terrible rescue dogs and one sweet cat.
