Camille Dent, DVM

Hi. We’re the real reason Dr. Camille Dent shows up to work every day. Allow us to introduce ourselves: we’re Luna (the Yorkie-poo and obvious favorite), Stella (tortoiseshell royalty), Artie (distinguished tuxedo gentleman), and Hazel (calico chaos coordinator). You may have seen us featured in Dr. Dent’s photo. You’re welcome.

Our human graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine (yes, we’re very proud and we allow her diploma to stay on the wall). After that, she completed a small animal rotating internship at a specialty veterinary hospital in Tampa, which means she trained extra hard to take exceptional care of pets like us. Before vet school, she earned her Bachelor of Animal Sciences and Biological Sciences at the University of Georgia and worked as a veterinary assistant in Mableton, Georgia. Basically, she’s been obsessed with animals for a very long time. We respect the dedication. She grew up in the metro Atlanta area and is now excited to be practicing in Land O’ Lakes, where she gets to combine her love of medicine with her love of animals (and where we get premium treats). Her special interests include ophthalmology and internal medicine, which means she’s very serious about eyes and very serious about complicated cases. We’ve personally tested her skills. She passes.

When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys painting, hiking, fishing, playing video games, and going to movie screenings. We supervise all of these activities closely. Especially the hiking and the couch portions of movie night. At home, she lives with her husband Marquis, who we also approve of, and of course, us four.
